Catherine O’Hara, who played the role of the mother in the popular family movie Home Alone. has died.
The BBC reported that the star died at her home in Los Angeles following a brief illness, aged 71.
Catherine O’Hara was best known for her role in Home Alone alongside Macaulay Culkin and Beetlejuice and Schitt’s Creek.
“Mama. I thought we had time. I wanted more. I wanted to sit in a chair next to you. I heard you. But I had so much more to say. I love you. I’ll see you later,” Culkin, now 45, said in a tribute to Catherine O’Hara.
O’Hara is survived by her husband Bo Welch and sons Matthew and Luke, as well as her siblings Michael O’Hara, Mary Margaret O’Hara, Maureen Jolley, Marcus O’Hara, Tom O’Hara, and Patricia Wallice.
