Organisers have yet to reach a deal with Ne-Yo to perform in Sri Lanka on a new date after his concert, originally scheduled for December 28, 2025, had to be postposed for unknown reasons.
Issuing a statement, Amith Boteju, CEO of Brown Boy Presents, said that they are still trying to reach an agreement with Ne-Yo for a new date. Ne-Yo will be on a world tour with Akon from April till August 2026.
“We know many of you have been waiting for news on a rescheduled date. While we are not yet in a position to confirm a new date, we have been working diligently to reach a resolution. We understand this is frustrating, and we are grateful for your continued patience,” the statement said.
Most ticket holders have demanded a refund and Boteju also said that refund requests are being processed in the order in which they were received.
“If you have already submitted a request, please know it is being handled. If you have not yet submitted a request and would like to do so, please email us at refunds@brownboypresents.com with the following details:
• Your Full Name
• PickMe Booking Reference Number
• Contact Phone Number
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method only. We are unable to process refunds to a different card, bank account, or third party.”
Boteju said that if ticket holders want to keep their tickets, they can do so and the booking will remain on file until a new date is reached for the concert in Sri Lanka.
The organizers had earlier said that the concert was postponed due to unforeseen circumstances, but promised a full refund.
However, some ticket holders who purchased tickets ranging from Rs 12,000 upwards, said they have not yet got their money back.
They have also reached out to their respective banks in an attempt to secure a reversal of the transaction, but this has been declined.
