Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have split up after 19 years of marriage, according to multiple reports.
TMZ, which was first to air the news, reports that multiple sources have confirmed that Kidman and her country music star husband have been living apart for several months.
“Sometimes relationships just run their course,” a source told Page Six, adding that Kidman “did not want the separation and was trying to save things.”
The pair, who wed in 2006, share two children together: Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14. Page Six reports that Urban has moved out of their family home in Nashville, Tennessee, and bought a home of his own in the same city.
“[Kidman is] holding the family together through this difficult time since Keith has been gone,” a source told the outlet.
The news will come as a shock to fans of the A-list pair, undoubtedly one of Hollywood’s most loved-up couples.
They have always been vocal supporters of each other’s careers, with Urban appearing on Kidman’s arm at countless award shows and film premieres. Kidman, meanwhile, has been an ardent supporter of Urban’s career as a touring artist.
They put on a united front at the Academy of Country Music Awards in Texas in May:
And on June 26 this year, Kidman publicly wished her husband a happy 19th wedding anniversary, writing simply: “Happy anniversary baby,” alongside a candid photo of them together.
The same week saw what might have been the last public sighting of the couple together before their split: at the FIFA Club World Cup match in Nashville on June 20. (News.com.au)
