Sri Lankan students won Gold and Silver medals at the Bali International Choir Festival, Tuesday.
Four students representing Sri Lanka from Nadines academy of music won 2 gold medals and 2 silver medals.
The four students were Directed and trained by Nadine Samarasinghe Pathmaraj, fellow of the London College of Music.
Kaeyara Adela Zufer (8) from Asian International School, Colombo won a Gold medal in the childrens category while Riyana Amarni Karunaratne (13) from St Bridgets Convent, Colombo 07 won a Gold medal in the youth category.
Meanwhile, Zeenath Khadeeja Danish (12) from British School in Colombo won a Silver medal in the Childrens category and Kielle Shaia Thuring (13) from Asian International School also won a Silver medal also in the children’s category.
Nadine s Academy of music Sri Lanka is a well known prestigious music school in the country who has been proving music education for the past 10 years.
Meanwhile, 25 young soloists from Sri Lanka’s Soul Sounds Academy also triumphed at the 13th Bali International Choir Festival 2024, securing 17 gold medals and 8 silver medals in the solo categories.
Competing in both the Childrens Solo and Youth Solo categories, these talented youngsters showcased their exceptional skills.
Under the expert guidance of renowned musician Soundarie David Rodrigo and vocal trainers Shivanthi Subramaniam and Shenuk Wijesinghe, the soloists delivered outstanding performances.
